How to Mix & Prep for Best Results

1.Measure Your Ratios:Crucial Precision.

Always follow the manufacturer's exact weight ratios for the Ferro-Vest powder and its special liquid binder. Unlike standard plaster, phosphate-bonded investments are highly sensitive to mixing proportions.
2.Mechanical Mixing:2-3 Minutes.

Add the liquid binder to your mixing bowl first, then steadily sift in the powder. Mix thoroughly using a mechanical mixer or paddle whip until a creamy, completely uniform slurry forms.
3.Vacuum Degassing:Before setting begins.

Place the mixture into a vacuum chamber immediately to draw out trapped air bubbles. Ensure your vacuum holds strong until the slurry rises and fully collapses.
4.Pour and Set:Quiet Bench Rest.

Slowly pour the defoamed investment down the inside wall of your casting flask over your wax tree. Let the invested flask sit completely undisturbed on a level bench for at least 60-90 minutes to ensure a full chemical set before beginning your high-temperature burnout cycle.
